Education
Primary schools, Shellard Road, Filton 1964-65, Mitchell Park,
Adelaide 1966-67, Warradale, Adelaide 1968, Downend County
School 1968, Elm Park school Winterbourne 1969-70. Ridings High
School, Winterbourne 1970-75.
Dissatisfied with the Art training available he elected to go it
alone, and although largely self taught attended Portrait
classes with Leonard Boden RP, Life classes at Bristol
Polytechnic and courses at the Mary Ward centre and in South
Sweden.
A committed artist all his life, Ian has held many one man and
mixed exhibitions and is a frequent exhibitor with the
professional societies including the Royal Academy Summer Show,
Royal West of England Academy, Royal Society of Portrait
Painters, New English Art Club.
Commissions
Ian carries out many varied
commissions for Corporate and private clients from Portraits and
Domestic Interiors to Landscapes, Rural, Urban and Industrial.
His client list currently includes
Price Waterhouse, Wadworths Brewery, Bass Museum of Brewing,
Lord Bath, Longleat House, Hestercombe Gardens, Bristol Rovers
FC , Railtrack, English Welsh and Scottish Railways, Royal Mail
and The House of Lords (Permanent Collection). |
